Device De-Linking with Gateway

Remove a device from a gateway in the app without affecting the physical wiring or the device itself.

What You'll Need​

Steps​

  • A device already linked to a gateway in your account.
  • HPzenAi app installed and logged in.
  • Account Owner or Admin access — Viewer accounts cannot remove devices.

Open the HPzenAi app and navigate to the device tile you want to remove

After De-Linking​

Steps​

  • The device is removed from the app but remains physically wired to the gateway RS485 bus.
  • Any automation rules or schedules that referenced this device are disabled automatically.
  • To re-add the device, go to Device Management → Scan for Devices and link it again.
  • The device retains its Modbus address and physical configuration — only the app association is removed.
