Reset the Devices or Gateway

Factory reset a device or gateway to clear all configurations and return it to an unlinked state.

Before You Reset​

Steps​

  • A factory reset permanently removes all configurations, schedules, automation rules, and device associations from the unit being reset.
  • This action cannot be undone — the device or gateway must be re-registered and re-configured from scratch after a reset.
  • Resetting a gateway also de-links all devices connected to it — they return to an unlinked state.
  • You must be Account Owner or Admin to perform a reset.
  • Only reset if you are decommissioning the unit, moving it to a different account, or troubleshooting a persistent configuration fault.
