Troubleshooting

Fix common HPzenAi automation setup, schedule, trigger, action, alert, and scene issues.

Quick Checks

  • Confirm every device used by the automation is online.
  • Confirm the automation is enabled.
  • Confirm the active time allows it to run right now.
  • Check whether the trigger value has actually crossed the selected threshold.
  • Review the app event history after testing.

  • Select any required device, channel, threshold, duration, or schedule value.

Workflow Is Not Available

  • Link the required device type first.
  • Confirm the gateway is online.
  • Refresh the Smart tab after adding new devices.
  • Use a different category if your equipment type belongs to another workflow group.

Automation Does Not Run

  • Confirm the saved automation is enabled.
  • Check the active time. Day and Night options limit when the automation can run.
  • For scheduled workflows, confirm the selected time and repeat days.
  • For sensor workflows, confirm the reading crossed the trigger threshold.
  • Confirm the action device can accept commands.

Scene Run Action Is Missing

  • Confirm the saved card is a scene, not an automatic workflow.
  • Confirm the scene has a complete action configured.
  • Reopen the Smart tab after editing the scene.

Wrong Schedule Time

  • Confirm the phone time zone is correct.
  • Confirm the site location and gateway time are correct.
  • Save the schedule again after changing repeat days or active time.

No Alert or Action

  • Confirm notification permission is enabled on the phone.
  • Confirm the device has recent data in the app.
  • Check whether a safety condition blocked the action.
  • Verify the action device is online and not already in the requested state.

Cannot Edit or Delete

  • Refresh the Smart tab and open the automation again.
  • Confirm your account has access to manage automations for the project.
  • If the automation is actively controlling equipment, stop the equipment safely before editing.
