Automation Logic

When

Trigger

Flow exceeds the selected high-flow threshold.

Default

Flow rises above 100 LPM

Choices
Flow rises above50 LPM100 LPM200 LPMEnter value

Example: choose "Flow rises above" and keep the default 100 LPM, select another preset, or enter another value.

If

Condition

The condition persists long enough to rule out normal short bursts.

Default

No condition

Choices
No condition

Example: leave No condition selected when the trigger alone should run the workflow.

Then

Action

Close the selected valve or stop the pump and send an alert.

Default

Close the valve and alert me

Choices
Close the valve and alert meNotify me (critical)

Example: choose "Close the valve and alert me" for the default then behavior.

Active

Allowed Time

Use All day for burst or major leak protection.

Default

All day

Choices
All dayDay (6 AM - 6 PM)Night (6 PM - 6 AM)

Example: keep All day for protection workflows, or choose Day or Night when operation should stay inside site hours.

Automation Details

Recommended use

Main lines, irrigation mains, and high-risk water branches.

Device Inputs

Water Meters, Valves, Motor Controllers

Output Behavior

Close the selected valve or stop the pump and send an alert.

Safety Note

Set the threshold above normal peak flow but below damaging or wasteful flow.

Test Method

Use a temporary threshold during commissioning and confirm the shutoff path works.

Commissioning Checks

  • Confirm the alert or shutoff action happens when flow becomes unsafe.
  • Use a temporary threshold during commissioning and confirm the shutoff path works.
  • Confirm the saved card shows the correct workflow, devices, schedule, and enabled state.
  • Review the event history after testing so the action is recorded as expected.
  • Keep safety-critical workflows active all day unless the site needs a specific time window.

Troubleshooting

  • If the Save button is disabled, complete every required trigger, condition, action, and timing field.
  • If the workflow does not run, confirm the devices are online and the active time allows it to run now.
  • If the action does not complete, check whether the target device is already in that state or cannot accept commands.
  • If notification behavior is missing, confirm phone notification permission and recent device data.
