Connecting and reading water meters directly via Bluetooth from the app.

Direct Bluetooth pairing​

Some HPzenAi water meters support direct Bluetooth pairing with the mobile app for local monitoring without a gateway. Check the product specifications for BLE availability on your model.

Pairing steps​

Steps​

  • Enable Bluetooth on your phone and ensure you are within 10 m of the meter.
  • Open the HPzenAi app and go to Devices → Add Device → Bluetooth.
  • The app scans for nearby HPzenAi BLE devices. Select your meter.
  • The meter and app exchange keys — confirm the pairing.

Bluetooth vs gateway connectivity​

Bluetooth-only monitoring requires your phone to be in range. For persistent cloud monitoring, remote access, and valve automation, use a gateway. Bluetooth is suited for occasional manual readings or portable monitoring setups.
